Single Parents are increasing very rapidly in the United States and all over the world and it will be a great problem for us. The percentage of the single Parents within the population is high. There are various reasons of the single parenthood which can be divorce, death and teenage pregnancy.
Now a day, teenage pregnancy is the big problem, the unsafe intercourse between boys and girls can cause pregnancy of the woman which they did not want it ever. In mostly case, boy leave their partner at this case, he do not accept it and it is become the cause of single parenting.
I have researched on the grants opportunities for single parents. The government used to provide home grant for single parents in which they can get grants for buying home, they can get federal government for making for down payment of their mortgage. There are various others grants in this category which is home maintenance grant, home repair grant, home renovation grants.
You should search first in your local and state government to ask the home grants, because funds come from federal grants to state government. grants.gov is the good website to search the home grants.
The US government has opened a website called HUD(Department of Housing and Urban Developments) to give home grants, you can find number of grants in this website.
